What to ask

The RSVP questions that matter.

A reunion RSVP has one job: tell you how many people are coming and what they need, early enough to book the venue and order the food. Ask only what you'll use.

Coming or not

Yes, no or maybe, so you know who to follow up with.

Who's in the household

Each person by name, adult or child, so the headcount and the price add up on their own.

Food needs

Allergies and dietary needs, so the caterer and the potluck crew can plan.

Place to stay

Who needs a hotel room or a spare bed, next to your hotel blocks and cutoff dates.

Shirt sizes

A size for each person, counted by size and branch for the printer.

Payment

Optional: pay their share by card on the same screen once the reunion is activated.

How to get every branch to RSVP.

  1. Load the family list

Paste names or import a spreadsheet. Each person or household gets their own link.

  2. Send the link where people already are

The group chat, a text, an email or a printed flier. One reunion page link works for everyone.

  3. Set an RSVP deadline

A date gives people a reason to answer now. Grove reminds them before it passes.

  4. Watch the quiet branches

The Branch Map shows which branches are behind. Grove emails a nudge to everyone who hasn't answered yet.

  5. Ask a branch captain

One relative per branch who calls the elders. The link works for whoever is holding the phone.

Common questions

How does an online family reunion RSVP work?

Each person or household gets a personal link. They tap it, say yes, no or maybe, add the people coming with them, note food needs and allergies, say whether they need a place to stay and pick shirt sizes. Their answers land under their name on your roster.

Why a personal link instead of one shared form?

A shared form gives you a pile of answers to match up by hand, plus duplicates when someone fills it in twice. A personal link knows who is answering, so you can see who hasn't replied yet and nudge just them.

Can relatives RSVP without an account or an app?

Yes. The link opens in any phone browser. There's nothing to download and no password.

Can I see RSVPs by branch of the family?

Yes. The Branch Map shows how many people from each branch are coming, so you can see which side of the family is behind and ask someone in that branch to follow up.

Do people get reminders?

Yes, by email: a nudge for people who haven't answered, a note before the RSVP deadline, and reminders the day before and the day of the reunion.

Can they pay when they RSVP?

Yes, once you activate the reunion ($49 once): their household total adds up from your adult and child prices and they pay by card on the same screen. RSVPs themselves are free.

Know who's coming, without the spreadsheet.

RSVPs, reminders and the headcount by branch are free. Set up your reunion in about nine minutes.
