The problem
Reunion money gets messy fast.
Three cousins sent money by payment app with no note. Uncle Ray says he paid at the cookout. Someone mailed a check for four people but only three RSVP'd. By the second month the treasurer is matching screenshots to names at midnight.
The fix is boring and it works: one price list, one place to pay, one list of who has paid, and reminders that go out without you.
How it works
How to collect reunion money online, step by step.
Set the price
Adult and child prices, infants free, and a household cap if you use one.
Connect your payment account
Activate the reunion ($49 once) and connect the account the money goes to.
Relatives pay at RSVP
Their household total adds up as they RSVP, and they pay by card on the same screen.
Record the rest
Zelle, Cash App, checks and cash go in the same list, so every payment is in one place.
Let reminders follow up
Weekly balance reminders go to households that still owe, with a link to pay by card.
Your side
The budget and the money, side by side.
Who's paid
Each household marked paid, partly paid or unpaid, with how and when they paid.
Planned vs. spent vs. collected
Know whether the reunion is covered before you put down the venue deposit.
No Grove fee
What relatives pay is what you receive, minus the standard card processing fee.
Common questions
How do relatives pay for the reunion?
When they RSVP from their personal link, Grove adds up their household's total from your adult and child prices and they pay by card on the same screen. No account and no app. If they'd rather send Zelle, Cash App, a check or cash, you record it in the same list.
Where does the money go?
Straight to your own payment account, which you connect once in settings. Grove never holds the reunion's money.
What does it cost to collect payments?
Collecting card payments is part of activation: $49 once for the reunion, or $149 a year for up to five reunions. Grove adds no fee on top of what your relatives pay. The standard card processing fee applies, as it would anywhere else.
How do I see who still owes?
Every household shows as paid, partly paid or unpaid, with card payments and the payments you recorded by hand together. Weekly reminder emails go to households with a balance, with a link to pay the rest by card.
Can we charge less for children?
Yes. Set an adult price and a child price, make infants free, and cap what one household pays if your family does that. Each household's total adds up as they RSVP.
Can I try it before paying anything?
Yes. Planning is free, including RSVPs, the budget and recording payments people make by Zelle, Cash App, check or cash. You activate the reunion only when you want to take card payments.
